What's the Plan?

Here’s a general outline of our wedding itinerary:

August 22nd

• 4pm Check-in: If you are staying at the resort, check-in to your room and take advantage of a complimentary buggy tour of the grounds. If you prefer to cycle (most of the inclines are quite steep) you can grab a bike from reception or even just go for a stroll.
• 7pm Reception (at the Veranda dintre vii): Join us at Casa Timis for an informal get-together and 7pm BBQ.

August 23rd - Day

• 8:00 - 10:30 Breakfast: Head to the Rotonda restaurant for a complimentary breakfast.
• Relax and Prepare: Take it easy during the day (it will be hot). Enjoy the resort amenities (spa, mini golf, rent a bicycle, swim or take a tour of the grounds) or explore the local area.
• 16:00 Check-in (if you are only staying for one day): If you are staying at the resort, check-in to your room, take advantage of a complimentary buggy tour of the grounds and prepare for the party.
• 18:00 Guest Arrival: If you aren't staying at the resort this is the right time to arrive, have some complementary welcome drinks and group photos.
• 19:00 Wedding Ceremony: Head over to Terasa dintre Vii (on site) for the ceremony.
• 20:00 First course
• 21:00 First dance
• 21:15 Second course
• 22:30 Third course
• 23:45 Main course
• 00:00 - 04:00 Cutting the cake, Fireworks & Party

August 24th - Day 

• 8:00 - 10:30 Breakfast: Head to the Rotonda restaurant for a complimentary breakfast.
• 13:00 Late checkout
• 13:30 (optional): Join us at Therme Bucharest, just 40 minutes from Casa Timiș and 10 minutes from Bucharest Airport. We’ll be arriving around 1:30 PM, but feel free to come a little earlier or later if that works better for you.We highly recommend booking your tickets in advance. Make sure to choose access to The Palm (which also includes Galaxy). Access to Elysium (the spa area) is optional and can be added on the day if you wish.The 3-hour or 4.5-hour ticket should be plenty for most, but if you’re up for a full day of relaxation, you could easily make a day of it. Tickets can be used anytime during the day, so no worries if you need a couple of extra hours sleep!

  Important: Please bring a towel and spare flip-flops — Therme charges extra for rentals or purchases at the entrance.

   

Getting There

• Casa Timis is a short 45-minute drive from Bucharest. For directions, click here.

Where to Stay

• We recommend staying at Casa Timis for convenience and comfort, but there are also great local hotels nearby. Let us know if you need any help booking or recommendations.

Transportation

• If you're flying in, Bucharest International Airport (OTP) is the closest airport. From there, you can take a taxi or rent a car to reach the resort. Costs will vary; however £45-£50 is about right. Our recommendation is either Bolt or Uber.

Things to Do

Explore the Area

Why not make a mini-vacation out of it? There are a number of parks, shopping centres and other activities in Ploiesti. Alternatively you can travel back into Bucharest, head up to the mountains to see Dracula's Castle or if you are really brave visit the beautiful site of our engagement (the last two will both require a car rental).

Relax and Unwind

On your way to the hotel, consider stopping by Therme Bucuresti, an amazing aqua park and spa. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind before the big day. We’ll be visiting Therme the day after the wedding, and you’re welcome to join us for a fun and relaxing day!

Hungry?

There are two restaurants at the resort, if you fancy something different we would recommend grabbing a Bolt / Uber into town and sample something in the local area.

• Weather: Please be prepared for hot weather (35-40 degrees) during the day as it is summer.
• Check-out Time: Check-out at Casa Timis is 12 AM unless you have booked a late checkout.
